In 2012, after nearly 32 years of trial work, Mr. Kahn had the distinct honor of being inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. 

In 1977, Mr. Kahn received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley, graduating With Highest Honors and an invitation to membership in Phi Beta Kappa. In 1980, Mr. Kahn obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. 

Mr. Kahn is a member of the California and District of Columbia bars. He has also served as trial counsel pro hac vice in the state courts of Maryland and Nevada and in federal court in Pennsylvania.

Robert J. Kahn

Over the past 33 years, Robert Kahn has achieved success not only at the trial court level, in arbitrations, and in bench and jury trials, but he also made new law at the appellate level in such diverse areas as the federal Petroleum Marketing Practices Act and California’s Usury Law.

In addition to having an otherwise active business and commercial real estate litigation practice, for the past 25 years Mr. Kahn has served as the sole outside trial counsel for a statewide geotechnical and environmental engineering firm. A seasoned trial lawyer with numerous trials taken to jury verdict, Mr. Kahn is also an approved panel counsel for a national insurance carrier with an emphasis in construction and design deficiency claims.
