Erik C. Tofft

Erik Tofft's litigation practice focuses on the defense of homebuilders, developers, and contractors in all matters related to residential and commercial construction. His experience extends to claims involving alleged damage and/or injury to both persons and property. He also has substantial experience in the representation of real estate professionals in fraud/nondisclosure claims, as well as general business litigation arising out of alleged breach of contract, negligence, and misrepresentation.

Prior to joining Huguenin Kahn, Erik practiced in the corporate department of a large, international law firm, and also spent several years as general counsel for a local construction company that specialized in new residential construction. His prior experience afforded him substantial exposure to matters involving insurance coverage, commercial leasing, employment law, real property transactions, choice of entity and business formations. 

Prior to attending law school, Erik spent three years living and working in Japan as a high school English teacher. His interests include mountain biking, fishing, guitar and travel.
